Your Role as a Senior Databricks Data Engineer
As a Databricks Engineer, your role will involve designing and implementing robust data platforms to support AI and data initiatives. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to create high-quality data pipelines, gathering and processing structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. Youll be integral to enabling data-driven decision-making, helping clients achieve their strategic objectives. This role combines hands-on technical skills with a strategic mindset, as youll not only manage data but architect scalable, sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced data platforms that support Data & AI initiatives
- Set up cloud OTAP environments across Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Apply data modeling techniques, including Dimensional, Relational, and Data Vault
- Drive engagement with new and existing clients to enhance our cloud and data presence
- Mentor business consultants and junior developers in cloud technology applications
- Contribute to the development of our Cloud proposition
- Build and maintain an extensive network both within and outside the organization

Your Experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical field and strong analytical skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a (Lead) Data Engineer
- At least 2 years working with Databricks, including Spark and Delta Lake
- Skilled communicator with analytical and leadership abilities
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), certifications preferred
- Knowledge of PySpark, SQL, Python, data pipelines, APIs, Agile, DevOps, data architecture, data storytelling, Infrastructure-as-Code, and MLOps
- Fluent in Dutch and English
